The first special
Seminar "Design of Pressure Vessels - ASME Code Section VIII Div.
1" was conducted in Cairo, Egypt with great success.
All participants enjoyed the
opportunity to follow comprehensive lectures, perform exercises, see all
rules being used on actual design cases, and study the side-effects and
benefits of an advanced design. Everybody participated in the discussions
and case studies, these were problems straight from the desk of the
participants.

A final examination concluding the
design seminar prooved that all relevant subjects have been

A lecture on the European Pressure
Equipment Directive (PED) concluded the seminar, showing that ASME Code
design and fabrication can be used under the PED as well.
