2 circ seam min distance

Hi to All,

I am looking for the minimum distance of 2 circ seam joint in a pressure vessel, is there any reference given in the code.

No, you can make a shell out of a cyllindrical spring with consequent coils welded to each other if you want.

but our vessel design is with cyclinder sections.
so I still need to know that min distance

James, SecVIII-1 does not give minimum length of a shell course.

NO RESTRICTION FROM CODE.
BUT IT IS BETTER TO HAVE MINIMUM NUMBER OF CIRSEAMS :-)
