Wondering if anyone here has had any experience with welding 310 material to G-30 hastelloy material. If so, what SMAW filler metal did you use?

Thanks,
Robert

Hi Rob,

Please take a look at this datasheet for the weld property. http://www.suppliersonline.com/property ... sp#General or ask your hastelloy material supplier for the advice.
In my opinion, for this kind of dissimilar metal welding, just use the filler metal per the request of the hastelloy. We just got a hastelloy to mild steel welding job done.

Wish you all the best

Jeff

Took your advice Jeff and checked with Haynes International.

Hastelloy X is the compatible filler metal.

Thanks,
Robert
