Scenario:
An ANIA and an ANI are contracted to perform oversight activities at an N-Type ASME Certificate Holder location (Company). When an ANI detects a nonconforming condition the circumstances are documented in the ANI's bound diary. The Company is notified of the nonconforming condition and performs the requisite activities (NCR/CAR, Procedure revision, training, repair etc.). In the course of the requisite activities the Company determines that one of their vendors was the cause and flows the nonconforming condition down to the vendor.

Question:
Is there anything (ANIA bylaw, or confidentiality agreement etc.) preventing the Company from asking the ANI for and obtaining a copy of the page of the bound diary and forwarding that with the NCR/CAR to the vendor?

Just curious about the ANIA / ANI world.
When I was an AI (too many years ago) I was routinely asked to submit a copy of the bound diary page to the Company to support their NCR/CAR.

Thanks in advance.

Nucthat,

If I was a certificate holder, I would not want to show to anybody else that it was the ANI who detected a problem with a supplier. Actually it is the job of the Certificate Holder, not the ANI. His question should be, why did I detect this, and not the cert holder himself?

After being asked this question, the cert holder does not want a copy from the diary any more.
