 Post subject: A516 Gr.70 plate marking

Dear gentlemen,i have a question regarding marking.
one plate was marked as below:
Trademark, ASME SA516 GR70 HEAT NO. PLATE NO,ETC,I think it is acceptable,
but according to the marking requirement in SA-20 13.1, the marking shall be:ASTM A516 G/MT Gr.70, heat number,plate identifier plus name,brand or trademark of manufacturer. my question is why the ASTM A516 can not be replaced by ASME SA516.

ASTM Specification A 516 can be transferred without any problem to SA 516 if the year of the ASTM Specification is acceptable according to table ED-1 of Section II part A.
