Dear Sir,
Name of certificate was changed in ASME Section III, NCA-9200, 2010 Edition as described below.
Certificate Type: NS without use of Code Symbol Stamp
Current Name: Certificate of Accreditation
New Terminology: NS Certificate of Authorization
I'd like to ask questions about Nuclear Certificate Terminology.

Question 1:
I have "Certificate of Accreditation" for NS which will expire on 2012.
Is ASME going to re-issue this certificate within certain period, or is ASME expecting us to hold and use this certificate until its expiration date?

Question 2:
I have been using the current certificate terminology "Certificate of Accreditation" in our QA Manual.
May I use the New Terminology "NS Certificate of Authorization" in our QA Manual without re-issued certificate?

Best Regards,

Sir,

I understand that there is not any reason to panic. The Certificate remains valid, and the Code work may continue.
The changes in the Code certainly shall be considered in your QA Manual. Your ANIS should be happy to assist in the changes. Please consider that there are more changes than only the Certificate title.

If you have need for an official statement, I suggest that you direct your question to ca@ASME.org
Or we continue discussing here, but please consider my statements are OPINION only.

Dr. Koelbl,

I thank for your replay and suggestion.
I understood that ASME would not reissue Certificate.
I will ask to ca@ASME.org by e-mail.
The information of the e-mail address is very significant for me.
Thank you so much.

Best Regards,
