Good Morning to everyone,
let me introduce myself, I'm a young italian engineer that works in an italian company that construct static pressure equipment.
This is the first time that I write on your very interesting forum and I have to ask your help for the following question:

a client asked me the following question:
for a vessel U2 stamped , in accordance to addenda of July 1st, 2009, what would be the level of the allowable stress we can use.
My difficulty is that my company has not yet received ASME addenda. Can anyone give me some hint in order to arrange a quick answer ?

Thank you to all
Best Regards
Rino

Hello Rino,
The allowable stress values you´ll find in Section II, Part D, Table 5A for ferrous and 5B for nonferrous materials. The background is the smaller of Sy/1.5 and UTS/2.4.

Thank You Michael for your reply.
I was thinking that that there were changes in the addenda on the argument.
Bye
