Dear friends
Please note that the design for nuclear is by analysis and not by formula (hence PV elite type softwares cannot be used to meet ASME Sec III (I have assumed NB class1)

You can use any FEA software - to name a few ANSYS, Msc NASTRAN , ABAQUS, COSMOS, CAST3M , SAP IV or even your own (non commercial) but validated software.

Geometry including thickness will be input and deformation and stresses will be output. You have to use SCL and demonstrate that various criteria given in NB3000 are met. In case of not meeting then geometry or thickness or both may have to be changed as the case may be.

With regards

Is there any helping stuff for design according to SEC. III -NB especially about "various criteria of NB-3000 to satisfy".Because the code languagr is not user friendly also there are not much details as compared to SEC VIII.

Formal training from experienced persons is the best solution

May be some books like " Companion Guide " by K.R.Rao, lot of published literature in Nuclear Engg and Design and other journals of Trans of ASME; Lot of background papers published on various issues in various forums, conferences and journals.

Specific issues can be discussed in the forum (not under software) but under ASME Sec III NUCLEAR

With regards
