I need to qualify new CJP WPS with GTAW+FCAW process using tabular (Pipe 10" sch 80) wall thickness 15.09 mm. I refer to AWS D1.1 table 4.2 specified that -standard test pipes 150 mm OD x 14 mm WT or 200 mm OD x 12 mm WT, the min.thickness qualified are 5 mm to unlimited.

Question :

1. If I use 10" pipe sch 80 (250 mm OD x WT 15.09 mm) for the WPS, is't the qualified thickness also 5 mm to unlimited? or T/2 to 2T as referring to same table 4.2 for Job size pipes less than 600 mm diameter.

Thanks in advance for those to clarify this question.

Regards
