CAN I USE CAF GASKET FOR HYDROTEST AT 10 MPA(100KG/SQ.CM)?

WHAT ARE THE VALUES OF GASKET FACTOR & GASKET SEATING STRESS REQUIRED FOR FINDING BOLT LOAD AS PER APPENDIX 2 OF SEC. VIII DIV 1?

I presume your flange rating must be 600# as your design pressure might be ~ 60-65 kg/ cm2.

At such a pressure probably your service gasket is going to be SPWD. Check your specification, many time user want hydrotest to be performed with the gasket same as service gasket.

Be careful as Asbestos is banned in many places. You can probably select CNF instead of using CAF if your user specification permits.
