Hi, can anyone explain me what exactly CQF (Cast Quality Factor) is & what for is it used?

What I understand is as ----- Suppose we want to make a component say Integral or loose Flange as per App.2., the formula in ASME are given for Fabricated flanges where we will be having weld joints. But if I want to make the same flange profile as single piece from casting, I should use (multiply CQF to Allowable stress Value) CQF.

Your answers are for surely going to improve me on ASME code.
