I am looking for information about Chinese standard for pressure vessel.

Which European organisation could we contact to learn what to do, to fulfill to the Chinese standard requirements ?

Hi Vin,

As I know, Chinese needs ML (ATTN: Manufacture License here, not Make Love, lol) for vessel. The following mail was the information a gentleman send me years ago when our company faced the same issue. Hopefully, it is useful for you.

Dear Mr. XXXX

The main procedure for obtaining the Chinese Manufacture License for pressure vessels is as follow:
1. Application documents delivery and accepted Manufacturer shall submit us the completed and correct application documents according to the “List of Application Documents ” .

2. Manufacturer survey

Once the application material accepted and approved by us, the manufacture survey to the facility site will be performed by the Chinese inspection organ authorized by our government.
(If the products belong to the gas cylinder, safety valve, rupture discs, gas cylinder valve, accumulator, and the corresponding type test never did in China previously, the test have to be performed in China prior to the manufacturer survey).

3. Audit report approval and license issue

After the positive audit report completed by the inspection organ and the final signature approved by our competent authority, we will issue the license timely.
In sum, the whole procedure for obtaining the Chinese manufacture license will take about 8 through 10 month and the total cost including the audit fee ,travel cost, etc. will be about 25,000US$.
Due to too many activities involved in the whole process of licensing , in order to ensure you may obtain our license quickly and smoothly, if you need the assistance under the “Consulting Service”, such as prepare the correct application documents , guide to fill the application form, etc. we may recommend you the reliable consultant company.

there are plenty of fabricators have SQL licence and supplying pressure vessels for process plants being built in China. you can contact the fabricators near to you who can give the idea

I am chinese.china standard is "GB150",which is similar to ASME
in an other words. china standard "GB150" mostly plagiarize from ASME

In China, there are hundreds of licensed vessel manufacturer, even if not thousands of .
for steel pressure vessel, you need to fulfill GB150, note:GB means national standard;
for Heat Exchanger, you need to fulfill GB151;
for Spherical tank, you need to fulfill GB12337;
for Slender tank, you need to fulfill GB4710;
in addition to all above GB, authority regulation is also mandatory requirement.
Chinese Standard is definitely similar to ASME,but in different structure, and have more strictly requirement, such as test specimens, Re- test of material at reciept, the licences are issued seperately to designer and manufacturer.

Dear Vinzeiss,

I think you ask a simple question here.
Actually now there are many method to learn Chinese standard.
I do not know if you want some course for training or want to get the license for your company.
Maybe you can contact your local SGS,DNV.Llyods,Moody,TUV,ABS,etc.
Such companies are international and they have business and branch office in China.
They also cooperate with some Chinese Quality inspection agency.
So I think there are many methods for you.
Hope it will be helpful.
