If we design tube sheet with uhx, tube to tube sheet joint should be welded only , UHX not permits joint as expanded ! My inderstanding is correct?plz clarify as per code.

Hello,
Why do you think UHX does not permit expanded tube joints? The expanded length is even considered in the calculation of the tubesheet thickness. Please have a look at Fig. UHX-11.1 sketch (b).
The explanation for l is as follows:
Code:
ltx = expanded length of tube in tubesheet (0 ≤ l tx ≤ h) [see Fig. UHX-11.1(b)]. An expanded tube-to-tubesheet joint is produced by applying pressure inside the tube such that contact is established between the tube and tubesheet. [...]

Niraj,
I would recommend to consult your AI and ensure how he wants you to demonstrate strength of this connection. Usually qualification per Appendix A is acceptable, but as there are no mandatory provisions for expanded tubes, U-2(g) applies, and an accord with the Inspector is necessary.
