We are following ASME Section VIII Div(1) for the design of exchanger. Our vendor has quoted the figure (f) of AD 610.1 for the channel side nozzles from ASME section VIII Div (II). Can we allow the figure of Div (II) while the design code is DIV (I). Please advice.

Division 2 cannot be used. Equivalent figure in Division 1 is in UW-16 and can be used.

1. As per your comment it is understood that Div(2),cannot be used when
Div(1) is the design code.

2. Also please let me know what is equivalent configuration in Div(1), if our
client is using Figure (f) of AD-610.1 of ASME Section VIII- Div (2).

OK, it does not exist... so? Who prohibits to use it? Read FOREWORD 3rd sentence "This Code contains..." and refer to U-2(g) as well.
Please note that those design in Fig. UW-16.1 are some acceptable. There is no prohibition to use a different groove provided you demonstrate to the AI the possibility of full penetration.
