Dear All

What should be the contents of design specification for ordering PWR Steam Generator from a manufacturer?

Any reference from code / book / brusher is highly appreciated.

I know its a huge task to prepare complete specifications for steam generator so I need help to complete that.

No, Sir,

the definitions in NCA-9000 are:

Design Specification (Division 1): a document prepared by
the Owner or Owner’s designee that provides a complete
basis for construction in accordance with this Section.

Design Report: the design document that shows that the
allowable limits stated in this Section are not exceeded for
the loadings specified in the Design Specification.

The DS specifies all the input into the engineering department, and into the Manufacturer. The DR documents all the output of the engineering department.

More guidance shall be in your QA Manual, and in NCA-3250, and 3551.1, also see Section III Appendix C.

Thanks for this tip. I also have no idea which specs such a steam generator should have. I do not own a generator because they are too expensive and due to this I always used generator rentals. I will ask if the power tools provider if they can tell me which specs such a generator should have. Besides this I will also take a look at the list of NCA-3150.

This is Sect. III (Nuclear) forum, I guess you are talking about something different: Emergency diesel generator.
