FCAW & SMAW process

Hi everyone.

Can you please explain the quality between FCAW & SMAW process
why have some spec. requirement from clients is not accepted FCAW for pressure part.( Flux core arc welding)

Some clients (not all) do not accept FCAW as they had come across Flux entrapment in the weld joint. This may be due to several reasons but then we are not going to argue with the customer , are we ?
