A spherical tank that required to have a "U2" stamp. Fabricator "A" made the design , stamped it from PE, and supply the formed plates required for the construction, Fabricator "B" complete the construction in the site including weld, Who should put the stamp on it "A" or "B"? and Who should sign the Manufacture Data Report, would they share it?

Ahmed,

I had similar cases in the past, and usually the outcome was, they both stamp the vessel.

Manufacturer A takes full responsibility for the complete vessel and he will stamp the master nameplate with pressure and temperature, and he issues the master MDR.

Fabricator B will stamp U2-PART and issue a partial MDR, as he is responsible for the fabricaion in accordance with the Design Report and proper examination and testing.
