Dear friends, to qualify the weldment like Fig.UW-13.2(c)(d),what is the thickness required for the flat plate. i assume it is butt weld.

Consider it is a groove weld with mase metal of different thk.
T (base metal thk) shall qualify both min and max. i.e. both shell and flange thk.
t (w.m. thk) shall qualify the depth of the groove weld
