Dear all,

I have to design a shell & tube heat Exchanger in which my client has asked me to take corrosion allowance for the floating head backing ring.

My questions are:

1) I am using Pvelite software & Any pvelite user can tell me where to enter corrosion allowance for floating head backing ring.

2) As per TEMA, corrosion allowance is not required for the floating head backing device. Is it correct to take corrosion allowance for the same.

If your client wants then add the corrosion allowance in the required thickness as calculated.I think there is no option in PVElie to enter that corrosion allowance.
