Dear All,

I have a full gasket face(extending from flange od to flange id) pad type flange.

the flange will be welded to top torispherical dish with a groove and a fillet weld.(same as nozzle fig: UW-16.1 (c))

the flange is having holes for bolts which are tapped holes.

how much thickness should i left after tapping for bolt holes in the flange?

I am considering design of flange as per Appendix y of ASME section VIII Div:01 or should i prefer taylor forge bulletin 502? (It is not a u stamp job nor strictly ASME sec VIII Div:01)

Please help.
Regards
