Goodmorning.
Could someone tell me if the SA516 Gr.70 FULLY KILLED is equivalent to an SA 516 Gr.70 normalized and cooled in still air.

Fully killed means the steel has been cleaned from the gas bubbles which form during steelmaking practice.
Normalization is a thermal process made on the material after forming to refine the grain, it consists in heating above he upper critical point (approx. 900 °C) and cooling in still air.

And As per SA-516 and Sa-20 this steel shall always be fully killed. The official definition can be found in SA-20.

Nrmalizing Heat treatment is an option up to 38 mm wall, above it shall be required.
