Per UHT-79(2), hot formed items shall be reheat treated in accordance with the material specification to ensure that the material has the required material properties. The mechanical properties of materials are being changed during hot forming because it is performed above the lower transformation temperature. For UCS materials, the heat treatment after hot forming is not required. However, you need to heat treat test specimens as per UCS-85.
