DEAR ALL

We are thinking our stainless steel welds are contaminated with carboon steel electrode. For example 8 mm thick weld is there 3-4 carbon steel electrode was used. How to identify this type of weld.Is Gauss meter will work? Another question is how much magnetic force will induse in the weld if we use all parameters correctly.

thanks,

did you look into using a handheld PMI? ive been told if contamination was exposed to the surface than copper sulfate would work
