Hello Sirs,

I have used SA 965 Gr F 304L & SA 182 Gr F 304L forging materials in design of a column. As per our client Specifications SS 316 & SS 316L materials to be "inter grannular corrosion" (IGC) tested.
Can anyone tell me, is SA 965 Gr F 304L & SA 182 Gr F 304L forging materials required this IGC testing? I need this info for ordering the material. I have to put this clause in TDC (technical delievery conditions).

Yes, it is mandatory requirement of Section II Part A; Specification SA-182; Clause 10.2 that all austenitic grades shall pass IGC test as prescribed in supplementary requirement S-4 of the specification.
304L is an austenetic grade.
SA 965 grade F304L needs not to pass IGC test as far as Section II Part A is concerned.
If your client is asking for the test, you should do it on his own cost because it would be an additional requirement.
