The vessel 4328 mm TL to TL is governing by external pressure.
Outside stiffner is not allowed as there is a heating coil of about approx 45 degree section along the longtudinal axis.
pls suggest...
If i dont want to increase my thk, does code allows to put stiffners inside.? Material is SS304L

Regards

Yes, but....You don't deserve the answer. It is the first sentence of the relevant Para. UG-30(a) :(

U are right sir,
But now my problem is, i can not put stffner inside as process point of view.

Now I have to put cut on stiffener (slot 34mm) for 1" coil at cercumferencial spacing of 73mm centre to centre of pipe.
In code no such information is available for cutout of outside stiffener.
Does code allows this?

Await yr valuable reply.

You're out of luck. From reading UG-29(b) and (c) it seems that the only exceptions are provided for internal rings. Life's tough, ain't it?

Why don't you make heating coils in sections (between stiffening rings)?
