Hello!

The ASME website http://www.asme.org , on the very first page provides a listing of ASME U stamp certificate holders. I get drawings from "U" stamp vendors fabricating Air Surge drums saying they are "U" stamp approved. However their name are not listed in the list.

The vendors are from UK and Italy. I need to know, what one can do to assess such a situation.

Your experience is values.

Thanks a lot. Have a nice day.

Ask, at least the certificate scope and No. (e.g. audit held Oct. 8,2009; certificate "U" issued Nov.10) has No. 37,962. This may help.

Sharjeel,
Can't you call their QA Dept and ask for emailing you their cert? Sometimes it takes a couple of days to add a new entity to that list. Or, you can always call the ASME to clarify: http://www.asme.org/Codes/CertifAccred/ ... Vessel.cfm

Thanks Konrad.

We do ask them to provide the certificates. But sometimes you have to look for a particular ASME U stamp mfgr in a specific region.

At that time, the list comes very useful.

Sharjeel

Of course new entries are available on the List after a certain time. Apart from certifications obtained just this months the last ASME certification, I partecipated is one whose audit was held Oct.8 and certificate is in the list dated Nov.10, 2009. I do not know when it entered in the list.
