Dear all.
I have the inspection of vessel for power plant.
The engineer requirement RT+ MT accordance at ASME V and acceptance requirement accordance with ASME VIII.
For MT is important the technique for example Visible OR Fluorescent.
Maybe, the base metal is important for decision, because is quenched and tempered steel include in UHT.
The possible discontinuity is crack.

Thank you for you answer

Do what your written proceedure says, dont have one? Write one, the code lists your techine options.
I would use a yoke AC current red dry particles, but i dont work nuc so a second opinion would be appropriate  .
the most inportant thing for a good inspection is to use 2 directions and a slight over lap.
the RT will catch any subsurface.
