Dear Sirs;

Section VIII DIV II is requesting 8 mm letter size on the name plate . Is there any alternative way or any exemptions that the letter size can be reduced up to 4 mm whisch is the same in ASME section VIII DIV I.

Since the letter size is too big and different from Section I, İT' S creating a problem for customer.

Thank you for you opinions in advance.

Dear Mr. Eraktan

As per Code Clause no. 2.F.7.2, smaller character size can be used, provided where space limitations do not permit the requirements of 8 mm character size.

Dear Mr. Vishaltailor

Code Para. 2.F.7.2 applies to small diam. or small sized equipments. Mention here, that is a large name plate.
