Dear all
as per Sec VIII Div-2 para no. 8.2.4, Metal temperature during hydro test shall be maintain 17 degree celc above MDMT of vessel but need not exceed 50 degree celc., to minimize the risk of brittle fracture.

There is vessel, which MDMT = 20 Degree celc. Does it mean, hydro test to be performed at 20 + 17 = 37 degree celc.

My interpretation is that : MDMT of vessel is, Calculated MDMT as per Part-3. so, my calculated MDMT is -5 degree, hydro test can be performed at -5+17 = 12 degree celc and there is not possibility of brittle fracture.

comment please.
