Do the paragraphs 22.2.2.3 & 22.2.2.4 (read together) of SA-370 (ASME II sect. A) mean that the minimum thickness from which you can obtain a sub-size specimen for impact test is 3.5mm?

If it's so, why SA-333/SA-334 mention 3mm as the minimum thickness for impact requiremnts taken in consideration?

Read Sect. VIII Div.1 Para. UG-84(c)(3) last sentence. It is 2.5 mm.
