Nozzle MAWP?

Dear All,

I have designed a nozzle using "ASME section VIII Div 1". I have to calculate the nozzle MAWP, but there are lot of considerations (area, thk, etc.). Can anyone please guide me for, "how to establish nozzle MAWP?" & is there any references or practices for it? :?:

Hi,
the easiest way is to increase the design pressure for the given design until you reach the MAWP. If you can change some of the variables, just try it once and you will see what will happen. The basis of nozzle reinforcement is just counting rectangles.
