P No for AISI 4140 , SA320

Dear Reader

We have to develop a WPS for alloy steel of Grade AISI4140 which is coming in SA320 type of material.
The product form is shafting bar , which will be used in making a clamp.
But I couldnt find any P No allocated for this group of material. can anyone advise?

Azar,

Do you have UNS of AISI 4140? if you have that UNS, then you can designate P.Number of a listed base metal in QW-422 having the same UNS.
See 4th paragraph of QW-420.
If you do not UNS number, then do not write P-No on the WPS just write material specification on the WPS.
