Hello,

I'm new in this forum and first want to greet everybody.

We just had an ISO 9001 Certification Audit, and a problem occured:

Our company has changed its owner now for the 3rd time, we have some PQR and the resulted WPS acoording to AMSE IX, in these WPS there is no range named for the gas flows (pilot or shield gas), it is named 4,5 l/min. To work on different parts (we mainly produce similar rings) we need a range now. Can I change the value in the WPS now to 4,0 - 5,0 L/min. and are still in the qualification range?

Regards,

TamTom

Yes, flow rate is a nonessential variable.

Tamtom,
welcome to the forum.

TonyQ is right, just revise your WPS. A new qualification is not required.

Maybe you will run into trouble with the namechange.
If the new company owner takes responsibility for the production under the old name, I suggest to address this in the QA manual, and declare that all procedures and qualifications under the old name remain valid until revised.
The revised WPS must be issued under the new name, and the PQR endorsed with the new name and its certification renewed with signature and date. This will save you a load of work re-issuing all procedures with the new name.
