hai Dr,
how we know the preheat tempreture before start welding test coupon or test pcs?

where can i get that in the code?

That was a sarcastic reply and un-necessary.

The answer is ASME IX is not a constructing code but works in harmony with other ASME Codes. If you are looking for preheat requirements they will normally be listed in the constructing codes. You will not find a defined preheat within ASME IX.

Limiting to Div.1, except for the note (2)(b) in Tble UCS-56 (for PNo.1) and similar notes in other PNo.s you will not find. You can find Recommended in Appx. R. It is the manufacturer's responsibility to establish it in the WPS and qulify within the variables settled in Sect.IX.
