Our company are interested in buying pressure vessel design software. We are currently looking at Finglow- Pressure Equiqment Design.

Do u might know how good the programme is and are there any errors in using Finglow on both technical or conservative side.

Your thoughts on this will be welcomed

Hello materalboy,

excuse me that I moved your topic, however, here it´s in better hands.

Regarding Finglow: It´s a quite comprehensive program, but in my opinion the documentation is neither clear nor are the results traceable.

Regarding errors: There are no programs without errors. At least I haven´t seen one and I have worked with a lot of them. Besides, this is the reason why the ASME Code requires a "Computer Program Verification".

Best regards
Michael

Thanks Fronhert,

Please accept my apologies for posting it in the wrong forums.
Only the mere reason was because this software was to be used to do calculaiton using ASME code,

However, next time I will take care of forums.

Kind Regards

agree with Mr. Amir, COMPRESS and PV Elite are the widely used softwares...
PVElites has some deficiencies like it does not notify if the fiber elongation is greater than 5% for formed part (Refer UCS-79)...
I myself prefer COMPRESS ... also their online support is spontaneous
