 Post subject: Recalibration of a calibration block

Hi, could you help me find a way to recalibrate a UT calibration block.
I'm sure the manufacturers used a standard reference to calibrate and license the calbration block.

Either V2,V1 or the equivalent how do we generally calibrate it.

Hello Maman - ah, sweet!

My opinion is that for each type of calibration block you have, you keep one untouched as a master block. Periodically you perform the checks which the blocks are designed for using the master block and compare the results with the standard blocks. If there is no significant difference then your working blocks are considered checked for another period. You'll need the original manufacturer's declaration of conformity to the specification, a procedure for this and a record for each block and any other available information and a documented procedure giving precise details on how calibration is achieved.
