rizy 951,

butt weld on Code class 1 (NB) requires RT for class 3 (ND) only surface exam such MT or PT.
impact test for pressure retaining materials for class 1 but not class 3, there are lot of differences including filing Design Report, Stress Report, etc. You should be more specific what problem you encounter.

Leem,

thanks for the try, but the answer is not that easy, and you have missed hundreds of other differences.

Rizy,
Sorry, but the question seems a bit strange. I suggest you consult the Design Specification. If it specifys CLASS 1, you look into NB, and do not even think about ND. This is just not your business.

DK,

That is the reason why I asked the rizy951 to be more specific on his querry because there a lot differences between two subsection of Section III.

I also know the answer is not that easy, being involved and consulted during nuclear power plant construction and currently employed by nuclear power plant, I dealt this subject almost everyday.
