For a pump class 1, we have to supply a forged cover .
Usually, we supply this type of component, according to SA182.Our ANIS, has said, that SA 182 is not appropriate, and we have to supply the cover according to SA965 because the part is not a piping component, a flange.
(Our part is less than 4540 kg.)

Question

- Why we cannot suply the material according to SA 182, even if the part is less than 4540 kg?

-The grade we want to use is 304L, and the problem is that grade doesn't exist in table 2A of section II.How we can manage this situation ?

You can not use material that is not on the list.
On the product form question, please consult your AIA, as they seem to have good reason to state their opinion.
