Dear All,

Please explain me that, how to calculate the external “sand pressure” on the buried vessel?

My approach would be

Density of the sand times depth times constant of gravity, just like hydrostatic pressure.
In metric units this works fine.
Example 10m of sand with 4kg/l

4000kg/m³*10m*9.81m/s²= 400000(rounded)Pa = 4 bar.

Every other approach requires a ground-mechanics approach.
