Question:

I m trying to do selection of material for our supports of superheaters tubes (in boiler).

The “Superheater tube” (material: T22) containing steam at temperature ~ 510oC shall be resting on these “Supports”. These “Supports” shall be exposed externally to the flue gas temperature ~ 1161oC.

Per my understanding material should be equivalent to ASTM A 276 for these supports.

I have seen some literature recommending supports material IN-657 or SICRO 2320 for same service conditions.

We shall appreciate if you can assist me in material selection or suggesting some alternate compatible material for the service.

Configuration of subject supports and service conditions are mentioned on the attached sketches.

Best regards,
Osama
