Hi, dear all experts

I would like to know whether Stainless steel bolt is required for Hot Dip Galvanized? Or is it suitable? Do anyone have specification or reference?

Why do you need HDG on SS which has self healing property?
It may not stick unless the zinc penetrates thro the passive layer of SS.
it is not a good idea to HDG SS, even Zn rich paints are not allowed on SS, becasue its prefernetial penetration to the grain boundaries of SS (liquid metal embrittlement). same is the reason for SS# Galv CS welding never permitted.
