Dear All
Can we provide Longitudinal Stiffener for a Tall column instead of circumferential one.If yes what will be the method to calculate various values like A,B what wil be maximum unstiffened lenngth of the shell.

ASME Code does not provide rules for design of such stiffeners. You would be on your own for determining design rules.
