There is some basics
Be specific you have asked for LUG SUPPORT and not lifitng lugs.
For lug supports.
if Q is verticale load of vessel per LUG.

Then Qa = AxialLoad = Q sin theta
& Qb = Bending lod = Q cos theta

Where theta = for normal vessle is 40 to 50 deg if tilted vessle add that much degree which resulted in More Lenght of gusset plate.

Dear Niraj,

sir, thank for your reply, i know that is a basic calculation for load but how to relate with support lug thickness? i mean that how to calculate the support lug thickness due this load. Appreciated if you have and share manual calculation with me.

Thank you. :?:

Faizol,

After you resolve forces considering equipment tilt, procedure for calculation remain same.

Only forces & moments acting on support lug/ bolts and equipment change due to the equipment tilt.

Dear Faizol,

since you have posted in the VIII-1 Forum I suppose you are interested what happens in your shell, considering the above mentioned loads. Once you have determined them you have the possibility to add clips (in any case Compress calls it "clips", I think PVElite too) to your vessel and you will get the stresses according to WRC.
