My nozzle loading fails if i use support friction coefficient as 0.4 in static analysis for rotation equipment piping.

But same nozzle pass (in restraint reactions report i.e. Fx,Fy,Fz and Mx,My,Mz) when above support friction is ignored or inputted as zero.

Here i want to confirm that does API STD-617 criteria says that the load calculated with the restraint but without the friciton is acceptable.

Waiting ?

In general
The support friciton in a piping system can prevent the pipe from expanding freely, thus creating a higher stress in the pipe and higher load on the connecting stationary/rotation equipment.
