LSI is one of the most professional suppliers in UNS#S44660 and UNS#S44735 Super ferritic stainless steel tube.
I am confidence to say in such material, we are the leading company compared with Plymouth and Valtimet.
But one of clients require strange specification in such material tubing.
19.05mmOD*2.1mmWT*6100mm, the dimension will be very common if we choose seamless tube here
But in this material, we can not process in seamless tube by our seamless plant, we can only process it in welded.
The problem is 2.1mm with OD19.05mm will be the utmost capability for us in such material and we need to assure the quality first, so we decline the clients'requirement for quotation.
Who can let me know is it necessary for such material for such heavy wall thickness in the condenser.
I may say UNS#S44660 has great excellent corrosion resistant and higher strength and Significantly higher modulus, which can allows the use of a lighter wall with less problem of vibration.
Is anybody here experience with such material equipments?
Usually we produce the tube in 0.6-0.7mm in wall thickness for condenser in power plant nearby the sea.

David,

You are correct, these tubes have really high strength but not permitted over 371C in Section VIII-1 construction.
2.1 mm is really a high thickness, why so high the designer of the exchanger can only explain.

Hi Mr.Nasir,
Thank you for your reply here.
I agree with you, for such material, 2.11 are really so high thickness.
We ever do test to compare with other materials in Lab,and the facts prove that such material has great anti-corrosion capability.
The clients'engineers today modify the specification in 0.8mm, I think it will be for condensers in the use of coast electric power generation station.
