No, Sir,

Section III NB is not refering to Section VIII.
I suggest to make the stress analysis according to NB3300 and ask the PRE who will certify the design report.

Thanks DK
"PRE" stands for what.
Kindly also tell how to qualify expanded tube to tube sheet joint i.e. a "tube pull out test". Is there any requirement of code for qualifying expanded joint?

Thanking u in anticipation!

abc123,

ASME Code Section 1 Rules for Construction of Power Boiler under Section PFT Rules for Firetube Boiler paragraph 12.2, 12.2.1.1, and 12.2.2 address the requirement for expanded tube to tubesheet.

I don't believe other Code such as Section III-1 and Section VIII-1 address this requirement. For Heat Exchanger requirement go to TEMA Code.

Good luck,

leem
