Vessel design pressure greater than 3000psi using Section VIII Div.1

U-1(d) For pressure above 3000psi, deviations from and additions to these rules usually are necessary to meet the requirements of design principles and construction practices for these higher pressure.

I come across vessel with 3750psi and design code Sec.VIII div.1, what is the additional design principle and construction practices required.

Thanks,

saminathan

"Usually are necessary" means you have to think about it and discuss it with your AI, nothing more or less. Of course we assume that you know how to build a vessel, and the question is: Will you get reasonable results with the given rules or are further analysis necessary? For a cylinder it may be OK, for a complicate design not. You should know.
