Please clarify whether it is necessary to have U-stamp and National Board Registration for static mixer delivered to US (from EU)?
Static mixer consists of straight pipe with two WN flanges and mixing elements welded inside the pipe. Design pressure is 43barg @ 450degC. Mixer is designed in acc. with ASME VIII div.1.

Read U-1(c)(1) of ASME Code Section VIII-1.
Typically in the US, State, and large cities have Boiler and Pressure Vessel Safety Division that regulates the installation, operation of boiler and pressure vessel. Each jurisdiction has their own set of rules that either cover or exempt boiler and pressure vessels from having operating certificates, makes no difference, it boils down to size of the vessel and use in service.
So, with that, I would recommend you contact the State Agency that regulates boiler and pressure vessel and discuss with them what are doing and what paper work is required regarding this vessel and they will provide authoritative guidance.
