Why do we use SA 106 Gr.B always? Whereas Grade A and Grade C are also available.

You can also use grade A or C no prohibition, it depends upon design conditions.
Grade A has lower strength than grade B. Grade C has higher strength than grade and it is costly as compared to grade B.
Sometimes in drilled headers, we have to use grade C because grade B fails in that case to sustain the pressure loading at desired temperature.
We never check the prices of grade A in contrast to grade B, has anybody idea of the price compassion between A and B?

price difference between Gr A and B is negligible Only reason for gr B is Availability.
