We are designing some vessels in accordance with ASME Sec VIII Div. 1, Ed. 2007, PED 97/23/EC. The Flanges used in the vessels are ASME B16.5M. The vessels are category III and IV.

The quantity is small. Large mills are quoting a very long delivery period. In this situation , can we buy the flanges from an intermediary (vendor). If yes, what are the additional things involved.
